Drop off site: Mesa County Landfill offers an easy, free way to dispose of your tree after the holidays. The Mesa County Organic Materials Composting Facility will accept Christmas trees from residents free of charge. The trees will be processed for compost production onsite. The composting facility is located at the Mesa County Solid Waste Campus (3071 Highway 50, Grand Junction)

Special Instructions: Please remove lights, tinsel, ornaments, and the metal/plastic stand from the tree prior to dropping off. The Organic Materials Composting Facility will not accept flocked or artificial trees.
