| Special Instructions: Trees should be natural and free of all ornaments, decorations and stands to be recycled. Wreaths, tree limbs, synthetic trees, bushes and shrubs are not accepted for recycling. Residents should look for fencing and signage that mark the recycling drop-off areas at each location. |
| Mulch: The Parks and Recreation Department will mulch the trees to use the material along city greenways and trails. |

Drop Off Locations:
The city has multiple options for residents to discard of their Christmas trees.
Residents may recycle Christmas trees at the Green Waste Recycling Center, 12301 Claude Court. The center is open every Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center will also be open Saturday, Jan. 7, Feb. 4 and March 3 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The city will also have three drop-off locations for Christmas trees where residents can leave their trees anytime through Jan. 13:
• Northwest Open Space, by the Water Treatment Plant, West 112th Avenue and Ranch Drive
• Jaycee Park, Leroy Drive and Irma Drive
• Maintenance & Operations Facility parking lot, 12301 Claude Court |
| Special Instructions: Please remove any tinsel or decorations from the tree before dropping it off. |
| Curbside:
The city will pick up Christmas trees that are placed inside of polycarts. Trees placed at the curb will NOT be picked up.
Please cut up your tree and place it in your polycart. Then make sure that the clippings do not cause the lid on the polycart to be open at more than a 45-degree angle. |
