| Drop
off site: If you do not have curbside compost collection, you can take your tree to the city's Yard Waste Drop-Off site located at Western Disposal, 5880 Butte Mill Road (Free to city residents). Please Note: The former brickyard location east of the main Western Disposal entrance is now under new ownership and no longer available for Christmas tree drop off. |
| Curbside Pick Up: If you have curbside compost collection service, put the tree either insdie or next to your curbside compost cart on your collection day. It is best to put it directly in the cart if it will fit - the lid does not need to close. If the tree is longer than 6 feet, it needs to be cut down to six foot or similar sections. |

| Mulch: Beginning Jan. 18, 2010 (depending on weather), the Parks Division will mulch the trees and leave the mulch on site for the public to remove free of charge. This is a first come, first served basis and runs through February 15, 2010 |

| Special Instructions and Notice: The City has announced that due to budgetary constraints, the Branch Recycle Site is closing effective January 1, 2010. The Site will remain open December 26-31, 2009 for residents to drop off their Christmas trees. Western Disposal will also pick up Christmas trees free of charge at curbside on January 7 and 21, 2010 as part of those week's compost pick ups. |
