This web site is sponsored by Colorado Recycles. For many years, Colorado Recycles has compiled the only statewide information base for recycling Christmas trees. In recent years, that information was made available to the public and the media as a special posting as part of the Recycling Guide® sponsored by Colorado Recycles on our web site at http://www.colorado-recycles.org/main.html.

Thank you for visiting our web site, we have suspended updating the information now that the 2007 holiday season has ended. Please come back in December, 2008 when we begin to post information for the next holiday season.

This year, we were able to gather and display information about 103 Christmas tree recycling programs around the state. We want to thank all of the municipal and county officials, nonprofit organization staff members and private citizens who provided information to us.

The web site use was phenomenol. For the month of December, 2007, we received 71,975 hits, and then in January, 2008, we received 100,909. Rounding out the season in February, we received another 5,163 hits. The total hits for season was 178,047.

Again, we thank everyone who provided information to us - and we thank each of our Colorado neighbors who cared enough to check our data base in order to recycle their Christmas trees.
